Fronted by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Travis Wards, Hillfolk Noir is one of the hardest-working bands on the US roots music circuit, with a huge stateside following. This is Hillfolk Noir’s much-anticipated, first UK tour.

Scottish Chamber Orchestra Wind and Brass

Rachel Sermanni
Indie Folk sensation, Rachel Sermanni, first came to the public’s attention when she appeared at 2011 Celtic Connections, and it was the start of a career that’s seen her touring widely and being given wide coverage and playing live on air with her band on the likes of Radio 1 and 2.
She appeared at Birnam Arts last year as a support act for Rumer, and bowled everyone over in the audience with a stunning set and performance, with smoky vocals and an efortless stage performance – a different story now, this sought after, supremely talented musician now appears here with her own band, and support act.

The funky Monster Ceilidh Band hit Birnam Arts with vibrant, electronic crossover dance music, making it the perfect night out for a bit of foot stomping in night-club fashion!
They’ve entertained all over the world, from the fields of Glastonbury to 8,000 people at the Rainforest World Music Festival in Borneo, with their unique cross-genre ceilidh music. They released their electronica album Mechanical Monster in 2011 to critical acclaim.
